More on Extraordinary Gifting

“Or,” Paul says, “Let’s go a bit further in this explanation of love, (1 Cor 13:2):

Let’s say I have the charismatic gift of prophecy–woohoo! I can proclaim and predict!

            Or a gifting of tremendous insights into wisdom–can I help you with anything?

            Or extraordinary knowledge–oh sure, I know all about that…let me tell you…

            Or gifted, mountain-moving-faith–I truly don’t know the word ‘impossible’

I mean, I am really something!

But again, if I don’t demonstrate God’s agape love in my life? All of those gifts don’t bring me up above zero. They are just useless. And I’m just useless.”
